Day 20 and 21: Two for...

Total Miles (both days) - 235

Day 20 we took our time leaving the beautiful campsite in Central Lake. Those lake sounds and a light rain really helps you get a great nights sleep so why hurry? We started heading towards a friends place outside Grayling. Along the way we stopped a little town called Alden and it reminded me a lot of some of the little towns in NH.

We were probably traveled about 125 miles yesterday to our
friends, a beautiful and secluded part of Michigan. He has a few acres where he's visited by turkeys, bear and even bald eagles . Of course, none came out and posed for me but it is spectacular.  We ate out and cheated for the first time on our trip... we've been VERY good up until now.  There was absolutely NO SERVICE but it didn't matter as we kicked back and relaxed with our friends. So tonite is makeup night... blog, pictures AND diet. LOL

Day 21 started off slow too... breakfast with our friends before heading off. Down to the local laundromat to drop another $12 in quarters but oh it's so nice to have clean clothes and bedding again.  THEN we finally found a self clean car wash tall enough for the RV to wash off all the bugs and dirt from our Off Road Adventures.

Our business taken care of we headed towards the coast of Lake
Huron in the general direction of some other friends that we hope to visit with tomorrow or Tuesday. On our 110 mile ride towards Walmart at Tawas City (where we decided to call it a day) we stopped to take some photos and the weather turned very bad. Thunder, lightening, hail and pouring rain... we had to take refuge
with about a dozen other vehicles at a gas station... It probably would've been a great day for business if they hadn't lost power too... ;-)

We found our way to the Walmart, resupplied and now here we sit across the street from Lake Huron and another great view. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have service to keep you updated. I'll add some more photos to Facebook too. Have a great night.
