Day 14: WELCOME TO MINNESOTA!

Total Miles: 200.9
We started the day at Devil's Lake, North Dakota (the picture represents a small percentage of how BIG Devil's Lake is and that spec is actually a boat out there fishing). The other picture is another portion of Devil's Lake and some of it's overflow. OH what New Mexico would do with all that water right now.

We made a stop in Grand Forks, ND for the local Planet Fitness and then moved on to Cabela's in Grand Forks, MN. It's like a mini Bass Pro inside and we managed to find a portable burner that runs on propane that we'd been looking for.

I would post a "Welcome to Minnesota" sign except it was hanging over the bridge that we could not stop on. SO... WELCOME TO MINNESOTA!! Along the way we saw a Smiley face water tower in Grand Forks, ND on our way over to Minnesota. And a remote controlled train engine.

We stopped and took photos of trucks, cars and an old abandoned church and though we saw another church in the distance we could tell it was also abandoned. And in Crookson, Minnesota there was a big beautiful east coast style church abandoned as well. It's almost like I said yesterday, communities seemed to move away and the churches are left behind to show they existed. Very sad...

Jimmy found a group of old trucks on Highway 2 East in Bagley, MN and we were able to stop so he could take photo's but I think his favorite was the old MACK.

We finally made our way to Bemidji, MN, which according to a lovely native American lady at Walmart means water. We had her say it correctly for us and it sounds just like it looks. BE-MID-JI.

AND yes we are at Walmart for the night. We will hopefully post more pictures later. Have a good night!
