Day 19: Deja vu... Central Lake, MI

Total Miles - 185.9

We decided this morning that some of the great spots in UP that we would have enjoyed seeing included a lot of hiking to reach them so we opted to do a little deja vu today and head to Central Lake, Michigan. Central Lake is a place where we spent 4 great Father's Day and a lot of great shooting with friends at the Second Chance Competition. Unfortunately we are about a month early to join them this year so... here we are, having a cigar by the lake... Oh poor us!

But we did have a lesson learned last night at Deer Park after our off road adventure in the Upper Penisula. HAVE BUG SPRAY!! Preferably by the 55 gallon drums.

TODAY we remedied that situation at a Family Dollar but the 55 gallon drums were not an option in a 26' RV so we settled for Deep Woods OFF.

Along the road we found a town that had some beautiful Amish farms and even saw a couple of farmers coming back from shopping in the local town. We also found a few more roads less traveled and some great views of Lake Michigan and even a glimpse of Lake Huron. That's 3 of the 5!

We crossed the Mackinac Bridge and saw Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. And BOY is that a high bridge. I was a little nervous but Jimmy is fearless and thank God for that because I am a BIG chicken.

Along the way we stopped at some outstanding scenic views of Lake Michigan and the shoreline. I've added more photos to our Facebook group KruegersView and I really hope you enjoy them.

That's all for tonight ... Take care and we'll post more tomorrow
