Day 51: Meandering around upper NH

Today's Miles - 148.2
Today's Date: June 25, 2018

So today we took a lazy approach, started out about 11 am and started heading north on route 16. We visited all the little towns along
the way Gorham, Berlin (where we checked out the downtown), Milan (where we saw the ski jump), Errol, Dixville Notch (where the first votes are cast in the Presidential Elections), Lancaster, Whitefield and Littleton.

The weather was mostly overcast, until it wasn't... typical New
England and very chilly for our Arizona thin skins. We stopped in Berlin to check out the old downtown and then found a little Heritage Village they built for tourist but it didn't look like it was very successful. The gate was unlocked and we just wandered around and took some pictures.

As we were wandering we also found the resort "The Balsams". Too high end for us to stop at so we took a picture to prove we really saw it.

It was a nice easy day but it's kind of sad to see how depressed a lot of these old towns have become. We noticed it in many states along the way. Well tomorrow we will heading to Vermont to browse around. We'll keep you posted.
