Day 35: Dexter, Maine and a few treasures

Total Miles - 139.9

We really took our time today to smell the roses and only journeyed a short distance. We went to a town called Dexter in Maine where Jimmy spent some of his childhood. It's a beautiful, fading rose like many little towns in New England.

We meet some very nice folks at a little store there and found a hidden safe tucked away. They were kind enough to let me take some photos for your viewing pleasure. We also met a great couple Don Phelps and Debbie
Morse who live around the Little Wassookeag Lake ... Don hung out talking to us as we were taking pictures and offered to pose for me LOL. Really nice folks and very interesting to chat with.

As we were winding our way down RT 2 heading in the general direction of Houlton, ME we found some very old pieces of equipment that I know you'll like to see and then stopped early at a rest area just outside of Medway, ME to eat and called it a day.

We will take our time wandering around Maine for the week avoiding the motorcycles.  I will be adding more photo's on Facebook for each day and some will be real beauties. Enjoy
